Triumph 400 Range Prices Hiked In India By Up To Rs 10,000
Triumph raises prices of its 400cc motorcycles in India by up to Rs 10,000. Check the latest model-wise prices.
Triumph Motorcycles has increased prices across its entry-level lineup in India for July 2026. The revision covers six models: the Speed T4, Speed 400, Tracker 400, Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400. The increases range from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the model. This is the latest price revision after Triumph expanded its 400cc lineup following the GST 2.0 changes introduced late last year.

Speed T4
The Speed T4 gets the biggest hike in this round, going up by Rs 10,000 from Rs 1.99 lakh in June to Rs 2.09 lakh in July. Looking back further, the Speed T4 was launched in April 2026 at Rs 1.95 lakh. Since then, its price has increased by a total of Rs 14,000, making it the model that has seen the highest overall price hike since launch within the current range.
Speed 400 And Tracker 400
The Speed 400 now costs Rs 2.40 lakh, up Rs 6,000 from Rs 2.34 lakh in June. Since its April 2026 launch at Rs 2.32 lakh, the motorcycle now costs Rs 8,000 more than before.
The Tracker 400 records the smallest increase in this revision, going up by just Rs 3,000 from Rs 2.46 lakh to Rs 2.49 lakh. It remains the least affected model in Triumph's latest price revision.
Both Scrambler Variants Revised
The Scrambler 400 X has gone up by Rs 6,000 and now costs Rs 2.65 lakh. The more off-road-focused Scrambler 400 XC moves from Rs 2.94 lakh to Rs 2.99 lakh with a Rs 5,000 increase. Since its launch price of Rs 2.89 lakh, the Scrambler 400 XC is now Rs 10,000 more expensive.
Thruxton 400 Also Gets Pricier
The Thruxton 400, Triumph's cafe racer in the 400cc lineup, now costs Rs 2.75 lakh after a Rs 5,000 increase over June's price of Rs 2.70 lakh. Compared to its launch price of Rs 2.65 lakh, the retro-styled motorcycle has seen a total increase of Rs 10,000 since it first went on sale.
A Wide Range Of Body Styles At The Entry Level
Triumph now offers one of the widest entry-level premium motorcycle lineups in India. The Speed T4 and Speed 400 cover the roadster segment, while the Scrambler 400 X and XC cater to buyers looking for off-road-inspired styling. The Tracker 400 occupies the flat-track segment, and the Thruxton 400 serves cafe racer buyers. Triumph has attributed the revised prices to changing market conditions, which has been a common reason cited by manufacturers across vehicle segments in recent months.
Two Things Buyers Considering This Range Should Factor In Right Now
These hikes look significant at first, but the overall story is a little different. When GST 2.0 raised the tax on motorcycles above 350cc to 40 percent in September 2025, Bajaj chose to absorb the extra cost instead of passing it on to buyers. After the switch to 349cc engines in April 2026, these motorcycles moved into the 18 percent GST bracket, allowing Triumph to lower prices at launch. The Speed 400 became cheaper by Rs 7,110, the Scrambler 400 X by Rs 10,736 and the Thruxton 400 by Rs 10,845 compared to their earlier 398cc versions. Even after July's cumulative Rs 8,000 price increase, the Speed 400 still costs less than the old 398cc model did before the GST changes. That puts the latest price hike into better perspective.
Another point buyers may want to consider is the recent pricing trend. Triumph has revised prices every month since the April 2026 launch. Over that period, the Speed 400 has become Rs 8,000 costlier, while the Speed T4 is up by Rs 10,000. There is no confirmation that another hike is coming, but anyone planning to buy one of these motorcycles soon should keep this pattern in mind. For comparison, the 349cc KTM 390 Duke is currently priced at Rs 2.77 lakh, while the 398cc KTM 390 Duke R costs Rs 3.39 lakh. The two brands follow different pricing strategies, but the comparison shows how pricing has changed after the GST revisions.
