Skoda Peaq EV Unveiled With 7 Seats, 630 km Range And AWD Option

Skoda Peaq revealed as the brand's largest electric SUV, featuring a 91 kWh battery, and a seven-seat config

Skoda has revealed the Peaq, its new flagship electric SUV. It is the largest model in the brand's electric vehicle lineup. Its main highlights include a seven-seat configuration, all-wheel-drive capability, and a claimed range of more than 600 km on a single charge. The Peaq is 4,874 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2,965 mm, creating a spacious interior.

Interior Space and Storage Capacity

Despite having seven seats, the Peaq still offers 299 liters of boot space. However, when the third-row seats are folded, the cargo capacity increases to 935 liters. There is also a 37-litre front boot (frunk) under the hood. The cabin further offers additional storage compartments with a combined capacity of 33 liters.

A highlight of the SUV is the enormous panoramic glass roof measuring 2.1 sq m, making it the largest roof ever offered on a Skoda model. The roof features "Dynamic Shade Control" technology that allows occupants to adjust the glass opacity using electronic buttons. Skoda has also used vegan materials for the seats for the first time. However, leather seats will be offered at a later stage.

On the dashboard, there is a large 13.6-inch portrait touchscreen running an Android-based operating system. Skoda has also retained physical controls for climate settings, audio volume, door locks, and hazard lights.

Luxury Features and Technology

Buyers looking for a more premium experience can opt for the optional "Relax Package". It includes AGR-certified seats with a massage function, ergonomic leg rests, and a Sonos sound system. The audio system features 16 speakers and dual subwoofers delivering 755 W of power.

Other notable features include flush-fitting door handles that automatically extend when the car is unlocked. They are designed to function effectively even in icy conditions. The SUV also gets wipers with integrated washer nozzles, wireless phone charging with magnetic positioning, and a 360-degree camera system called "Top Area View" that assists during parking. The Peaq also comes equipped with a new heat pump.

Modern Design and Motor Options

The Peaq follows Skoda's "Modern Solid" design language with T-shaped headlamps and an aerodynamic body. The SUV has a drag coefficient of less than 0.25. Wheel sizes range from 19 to 21 inches, with aerodynamic covers designed to reduce air resistance.

Skoda will offer the Peaq in three variants.

The Peaq 60 is equipped with a 63 kWh battery (59 kWh usable) and a 150 kW rear-mounted motor. It offers a range of around 440 km, accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 8.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 160 kmph.

The Peaq 90 gets a 91 kWh battery (86 kWh usable) paired with a 210 kW rear-mounted motor. It delivers a range of more than 630 km, accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.1 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 180 kmph.

The Peaq 90x is the top-spec variant featuring dual motors and all-wheel drive, producing a combined output of 220 kW. It offers a range of 605 km, accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 180 kmph.

Charging, Towing Capabilities and Safety

The 91 kWh battery pack is the largest battery pack ever fitted to a Skoda. It can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 28 minutes. The Peaq also supports V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), V2H (Vehicle-to-Home), and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) technologies, allowing it to power external devices, homes, or feed electricity back into the grid.

The Peaq can tow trailers weighing up to 2 tonnes in all-wheel-drive form and 1.8 tonnes in rear-wheel-drive versions. B mode increases regenerative braking and enables near one-pedal driving.

For safety, the SUV comes with ten airbags and advanced driver assistance systems such as Front Assist, Crossroad Assist, Turn Assist, Lane Assist, Side Assist, Predictive Cruise Control, and Exit Warning.

There will also be a Sportline version of the Peaq featuring sportier styling, black exterior accents, and a unique interior theme. Skoda will announce pricing and delivery details at a later date.
