Kia Seltos GTX(O) And X-Line(O) Launched In India At Rs 21.56 Lakh

Kia Seltos GTX(O) and X-Line(O) launched at Rs 21.56 lakh with 28 ADAS features, HUD and new tech.

Kia India has added two new variants to the Seltos lineup, the GTX(O) and X-Line(O), both priced at Rs 21.56 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned at the top of the Seltos range, they bring additional safety features, new convenience technologies and enhanced connected car functions compared to the variants that were already on offer.

Upgraded ADAS Package Is The Main Addition

The previous top-spec Seltos variants already carried a Level 2 ADAS suite with 21 autonomous safety functions. The GTX(O) and X-Line(O) take this further with Kia's new ADAS F+ package, which expands the total to 28 advanced safety features.

The newly added functions include Front Collision Avoidance Assist for Junction Crossing, Lane Change Oncoming and Lane Change Side, Evasive Steering Assist, Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control for curves and speed-restricted zones, and Highway Driving Assist. Kia says these additions help the SUV assist the driver more effectively during both city commutes and longer highway runs. The Seltos is built on Kia's India-first global K3 platform, which helped the mid-size SUV earn a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

New Convenience And Connectivity Features

Beyond the safety upgrades, both new variants also gain several features that were not available on the earlier top-spec Seltos variants. These include a Connected Car Navigation Cockpit with built-in navigation and Kia Connect 2.0, which brings over 85 connected car functions to the package. Voice-enabled controls that support multiple regional Indian languages are also part of the setup, along with a Digital Key function.

The GTX(O) and X-Line(O) also get a smart windshield Head-Up Display, a Smart Air Purifier with an AQI display, rain-sensing wipers and a Smart Dashcam with front and rear cameras that can be accessed via a smartphone app. All four power windows now get one-touch auto up and down functionality with anti-pinch safety as well.

Features That Carry Over From Existing Variants

Both new variants retain all the equipment that the previous top-spec Seltos already offered. The cabin continues with Kia's Trinity Panoramic Display, which consists of dual 12.3-inch screens covering the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster.

Other features that continue to be offered include an 8-speaker Bose audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor and an electronic parking brake.

No Changes To The Engine Options

The GTX(O) and X-Line(O) do not bring any mechanical changes. The Seltos continues with its two existing engine choices. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol produces 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque and is available exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre diesel makes 116 PS and 250 Nm and comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

GTX(O) vs X-Line(O): What Is The Difference?

Since both variants share the same features and powertrain options, the choice between them comes down primarily to styling preferences.

The GTX(O) goes for a sportier look with a Digital Tiger Face grille, dark gunmetal accents, crystal-cut alloy wheels and red brake calipers. Inside, it gets a Smoky Black and Hunter Green interior theme.

The X-Line(O) takes a different direction with exclusive Matte Graphite and Aurora Black exterior colour options. It also gets gloss-black alloy wheels, gloss-black skid plates and dark exterior detailing for a more premium look.

What Kia Said At The Launch

Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Sales at Kia India, said at the launch that the Seltos has consistently evolved with changing customer expectations while remaining one of Kia's strongest products in India. He pointed to the SUV's recent 5-star Bharat NCAP score, calling it India's highest-scoring ICE vehicle to date, and described it as a reflection of the engineering that has gone into the SUV.

He added that the GTX(O) and X-Line(O) bring together Kia's most complete suite of advanced safety, connectivity and convenience features in a single offering, further building on what the Seltos already delivers in design, space and technology.

Is The Higher Price Worth It?

The new GTX(O) and X-Line(O) variants are priced at Rs 21.56 lakh (ex-showroom), making them around Rs 1.57 lakh costlier than the earlier GTX A diesel automatic. Most of that price difference goes towards the expanded ADAS F+ package, along with features such as the Digital Key, built-in navigation, Head-Up Display, Smart Dashcam and Smart Air Purifier. At the same time, many of the premium features, including the dual 12.3-inch displays, Bose audio system, ventilated seats and panoramic sunroof, were already available on the previous top-spec variants.

The pricing also puts the Seltos closer to the top-end Hyundai Creta, which is priced lower. However, the Seltos now offers a larger ADAS package with 28 safety functions, including features such as Highway Driving Assist and Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control that are not available on every rival in this segment. For buyers who place a high value on advanced driver assistance technology, these additions could help justify the higher price.
